How do I find out if speech language therapy is needed?
Contact us for a comprehensive evaluation. After completing an initial intake form, a speech language pathologist (SLP) will contact you to schedule your initial evaluation. Following the evaluation, a report of findings and recommendations will be reviewed with you by the SLP.
How do I begin speech therapy?
You or your child may have received a referral for speech services through a doctor or through your school district. An SLP will reach out to you to schedule your sessions after receiving your intake form and relevant documentation.
My child is an extremely picky eater and their health and nutrition is negatively impacted. How can you help?
We will conduct a comprehensive feeding & swallowing evaluation, and depending on the results, we may recommend feeding and/or swallowing therapy. We will work with you and your family on expanding the child’s tolerable foods and ensuring safe food and drink intake.
I have voice concerns (hoarseness lasting more than a few weeks, injury, medical condition, strained, undesired sound quality), how will you address them?
We recommend you first visit your ear/nose/throat (ENT) physician for an evaluation of your vocal folds. Depending on their findings, they may recommend speech services. We will evaluate your current abilities and create a program of exercises designed to optimize your breathing, recalibrate your speaking, and rehabilitate your voice.
What can I do to prepare my child for a speech therapy session?
It is recommended you arrive on time with your child well-rested, fed and with a water bottle, along with having used the restroom before so we don’t lose any session time.
My child is on the Autism spectrum. How can you help?
We collaborate with the child’s family and other related service providers to offer comprehensive and neurodivergent affirming speech services for your child. Whether your child is speaking or non-speaking, we will work toward giving your child access to communication.
